MICRON 6 VS MICRON 10

Most of aluminium product are mainly used for material micron 6. But REGO Aluminium emphasizes quality and in-service ease. We use best material of micron 10 to our product. It's more nicest and quality. There is a noticeable different between micron 6 and micron 10. The product produced using micron 6 material will cause scratchy aluminium, easy dirty, color and clear lines. Not for micron 10, because the aluminium surface is not dirty, the line is invisible, the minimum scratch effect, the finer aluminium color and the better quality.

Aluminium,in an untreated from protective oxide coating on exposure to the atmosphere. This coating is inherently protective, but very thin and can be thickened by the anodising process. The aluminium anodising process can increase between 5 micron to 25 micron this naturally occurring oxide layer. How much you need to thicken the oxide layer will depend on the demands of your application.

Anodised Aluminium Extrusion Guidelines
  • Aluminium extrusion used for indoor application such as picture frames usually only require 5 to 10 microns thickness unless color anodising is specified which will require a greater layer thickness.
  • Aluminium extrusions used for external application such as curtain walling usually require 15-20 microns.
  • Aluminium extrusions used in polluted or harsh environments can require 25microns.
