Kitchen layout


One of the main principal for forming a kitchen layout is the kitchen triangle worker zone. The kitchen triangles work zone includes storage zones, food preparation and cleaning. This kitchen triangular work zone guide will help us to ensure that the workflow in the kitchen is smooth, unobstructed. The guidelines from these three zones so they are not too far from each other and are not too close to each other to ensure your comfort while using the kitchen space. Line between these three working zones should not exceed the total distance of 6 meters. The ideal distance between work points is 90cm.

The kitchen triangular work zone connects three main working zones in the kitchen, namely storage / storage (refrigerator and dry storage), washing (sink, washing dishes) and cooking (hob, oven, microwave).

Placing three working zones correctly is important to obtain an ergonomic working triangle with flow natural work and everything is easy to reach. Here we show you some basic tips to consider when planning your triangle's work zone:-

Cooking Zone
  • Avoid passing the kitchen with a hot pot and pan.
  • Think of putting an oven and hob adjacent to the sink and top of the work.


Cleaning Zone
  • Your sink is an important place. Plan your refrigerator near to facilitate food preparation. 
  • Also close to the hob make it easy to rinse pasta and vegetables.


Storage / Storage Zone
  • For storage, make sure you have enough storage for all the ingredients, including dry food in the refrigerator.
  • The top of the work near the high cabinet and refrigerator makes it easy for you to pack freshly bought items.
